MEMOIR WRITING GROUP
Dear Writing Friends,
Bobbi Smisko is convening a group of people at the church who are interested in writing personal memoirs.
The group meets the first Monday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to practice writing skills, to share writing experiences, and to encourage each other as they write their personal stories.
Facilitator: Bobbi Smisko
Email: [email protected]
Please RSVP so Bobbi knows how many will be coming. Bring paper and pen, and feel free to bring your beverage of choice.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
11:00 am: 2nd Hour on Sunday Morning. All are welcome to join these lively discussions, sermon responses, or study groups following our morning worship service.
We use this time to deepen our understanding of Biblical Principles, to further our experience of following Christ, and to encourage each other along The Way. A main goal is to strengthen our Christian Community to be the people whom God called us to be. Special activities, like enjoying rich Eritrean coffee, courtesy of Maeza Mengistu (see picture on the right), gathering with folks from our surrounding community for special events, getting to know one another through the telling of our life stories, and pondering the truths expressed during the preaching time are just some of the ways we grow closer to God and to each other.
YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
The focus of the youth class is to set our sights on what it means to be in a relationship with God. The center of this relationship is Jesus Christ. We follow the sermon series but have our own discussions. We also share the highs and lows of our week and pray for each other. Through it all, the goal is to bring relevance to who God is and what God wants from us.
PRE-SCHOOL & ELEMENTARY SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Starting at the pre-school level, our children’s classes provide Bible stories and related material appropriate for each age group. The curriculum material is developed and taught by experienced and qualified teachers.
