The
Methacton Mennonite Preschool provides classes for children
from age 2 1⁄2 through 4 years old. The goal of the
school is to provide children with a loving, Christ-centered
environment and to stimulate their natural desire to learn.
Academic
readiness skills are developed through meaningful and fun
activities designed to foster the children’s natural
curiosity, while developing language skills and number concepts.
In
addition, through Bible stories, songs, and plays, the children
learn of Jesus and His compassion for each child.
Values
such as: cooperation, kindness, sharing, and sensitivity to
others are woven into daily activities. Attendance options
include 2, 3, and 4-day programs as well as extended hour
“Play Days.”

ADULT
SUNDAY SCHOOL
All
are welcome to join this lively 45 minute discussion and study
group following our morning worship service. On most Sundays
the material is a follow-up to the sermon topic allowing for
greater understanding and relevant application of the message
to our personal lives. All present are welcome to ask questions
and share comments as we study the Bible together.
YOUTH
SUNDAY SCHOOL
The
focus of the youth class is to set our sights on what it means
to be in a relationship with God. The center of this relationship
is Jesus Christ. From the Tent of Meeting to the Gather Round
curricula, the goal is to bring relevance to who God is and
what God wants from us.
CHILDRENS
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Starting
at the pre-school level, our children’s classes provide
Bible stories and related material appropriate for each age
group. The curriculum material is developed and taught by
experienced and qualified teachers. Simple service projects
are often part of the lesson, thus teaching real life application
in a way that is fun and interesting to the students.
VACATION
BIBLE SCHOOL
From
the earliest years when large numbers of children came and
met in the carriage sheds and tents, to recent summers, our
Vacation Bible School has been a popular outreach in our community.
The 2007 summer session, occurring in June, was titled “Be Bold! God is With
You”. The sessions are geared for children from pre-school
through grade 4 and all children are welcome including youth
who can assist the teachers and group leaders.
